Family-owned tire retailer opens its newest location in Bluegrass State

LEXINGTON (May 10, 2017) – Family-owned and operated Tire Discounters, the nation’s eighth-largest independent tire retailer, recently relocated one of its stores to a brand-new facility on Newtown Pike.

Located at 789 Newtown Springs Drive, the new store features 7,900 square-feet of space, eight service bays and will employ 13 to 15 people from the region, when fully staffed. The store moved from its previous location at 996 West New Circle Road. Tire Discounters is celebrating its 40^th anniversary and has grown to more than 100 locations across Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee and Georgia.

“We’re looking forward to relocating to Newtown Pike, where we’ll continue delivering high quality service to Lexington customers,” said Joel Moore, general manager of the new store. Moore brings with him 22 years of experience in the tire industry.

“We absolutely love being a member of the Lexington community,” said Clarissa Niese, chief customer officer for Tire Discounters. “By relocating, we’re excited to continue building relationships with our customers in a brand-new facility."
